The moment

After the liturgy a procession walks to the pier. The bishop throws a cross into the winter Bosphorus, and young men dive in to bring it back.

Confirm with the parish that the ceremony is held in Kuzguncuk that year. In some years it is reported only from the Golden Horn. Stand back from the pier edge.
